Everything in Kavro — your cards, links, details, expiry dates, people, and settings — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server. There is no Kavro account or cloud database holding your data.
The only copy that exists outside your device is a backup file you choose to export yourself.
Kavro saves links as references — it points to the original location but does not store or control the destination. Whether a link opens correctly depends entirely on the original app, website, or service it points to.
If a link stops working, it is likely because the destination has changed, moved, expired, or requires a login that is no longer active. Kavro has no way to verify or restore access to external destinations.
Kavro stores your PIN locally on your device only. There is no account recovery, no email reset, and no way for us to retrieve your PIN remotely.
If you forget your PIN, the only way to regain access is to restore a backup you previously saved. If no backup exists, the data cannot be recovered. This is why Kavro reminds you to keep a backup saved.
The app does include a Reset Kavro option that clears all data and lets you start fresh — but this permanently removes everything on the device.
Kavro lets you export a complete backup of your data — cards, people, sections, and settings — as a single file. You can save it to Files, share it to iCloud Drive, or send it anywhere you choose.
To restore, open Kavro, go to Settings, tap Restore from backup, and select your backup file. Your data will be replaced with the contents of the backup.
Kavro does not receive or store a copy of your backup. The file is entirely in your hands.
No. Kavro does not store files, photos, or documents. It stores references — links, dates, and details you want to keep close — entirely on your device.
Your original files remain wherever you already keep them. Kavro is a reference tool, not a storage service.
